George Lodge International Conference Centre Hosts Fuji Japan Media Group.

29 06 2010

George Lodge International’s conference centre has been the host, home of the Japanese Fuji Media group the past month and the conference room has been there office for their reporters.

We where lucky enough to have two media teams from London and Japan, got to have a insight as to how the media world live … Work all day, work harder at night as there is such a time difference that they need to work while the rest of us are sleeping in South Africa they are making the final touches on there reports to stream thru there satellite bus all the way to Japan.

Our conference room stood the test of time with our ADSL Line and Wifi working at full speed. Our Air conditioner set a warm temperature for the very cold winter we have been experiencing in this world cup season.

The Staff and the media group had there favourite teams that we where all backing in the world cup. The most favourites where Brazil and Italy and Of course we supported the Japan team that seemed to have surprised everyone in the media group by Qualifying into the round of 16.

With them Qualifying they all had to pack up and move to Pretoria as there new base and home, We bid them goodbye.

The Conference Centre is ready for use again and as you can see we are up to standard that a media group chose us to be there host during the World Cup of 2010. So for the months that follow after the world cup put in that extra time and come and present your conference at our conference centre in George.

Lee Ann Marais, Miss

George Lodge International Has a Foschini & Mr Price group Conference.

17 05 2010

With Just 24 days till the world cup begins it seems that training is being done to ensure that the retail departments are ready for the 2010 world cup.

People like Foschini group and Mr Price group will be having training in this month.

These two companies are very dynamic from each other but have one thing in view and that is the influx of tourist visitors in the world cup period and its good to see that these two retail companies are empowering their employees and giving them the best knowledge and training they can provide.

Im sure any visitor visiting the garden route will be impressed by these ladies and gentlemen and give such feedback to the overseas market about our service and friendliness in our retail stores.

I Look forward to hosting these two retail groups and im sure its going to both be a successful event and will keep you posted if any hints get dropped of any new fashion.

Have a wonderful week ahead and enjoy any retail shopping you might do.

Finaly we are done & we have some photos to share …

17 04 2010

George Lodge International conference venue has taken its time in the changes it has undergone but as they say all things come to those who wait and wow what a wait it has been but well worth it as well.

Our tiled floor has been replaced with carpets; our silver steel tables have been changed with a more modern dark wood table with extra length on them.

Our walls have received a new coat of paint and our old door has been replaced with a new one. Its like opening a new door to life, well to intense training.

Since our new conference room has been done it has been filled with conferences and new people and we have only had good reviews.

Not going to carry on about our venue ill just show you some of the new pictures of our venue because a picture can speak a thousand words so I hope you like our new image in our venue.

George Lodge International has finally made the move and we have gone under construction in our conference room.

15 03 2010

George Lodge International has finally made the move to upgrade our conference room. The construction has finally started.

Our Venue and our reliability has not changed at all but our venue has gone for a new facelift and we are taking out the old and putting in the new.

For those of you that have been in our venue or have viewed our photos you will see the difference we have made, but for those of you new to our venue we would like to take this time in showing you the transformation of our venue.

We have taken out the wooden flooring and lifted up the outer balconies flooring to give more space for you and your delegates and once all of the alterations have been completed we will lay down our new carpet and be open for success.

It seems I have forgotten to say that our venues door has also been moved so when u open the door to our new venue you will now be greeted with the rich aroma smell of coffee while enjoying the new luxurious venue.

That’s right we have gone all out to make our venue once again one of the best venues to be found in George.

Keep posted on the updates of our venue.

Expedia Group Conference @ George Lodge International.

8 03 2010

George Lodge International once again held a successful event this time the event was held for Expedia Group.

Diego Lofeudo Regional Director of Market Management EMAF, Berthold Holly Head of Media Solutions and Ross Kata Market Manager Africa were the facilitators for the event. They focused on Online Travel, Revenue Management, looked at the future of online travel and discussed the World Cup pre and post.

They also shared information and facts on how the market is performing in Southern Africa for Expedia and provided the delegates with a better understanding of Expedia and how they can work together to maximize their revenue online.

The Guests were all served with Coffee/ Tea and juice and were presented with the most enjoyable platters filled with Sandwiches, Biltong, Savoury pastries and so much more.

The time spent with the Expedia group was an exciting and adventurous one including making a trip to the Doctors to see if one of them had Malaria but not even this takes away the passion they have for Tourism and finding out the needs of their clients to serve the visitors while ensuring that their site is easy to use.

I Thank Expedia group for making use of our conference venue and look forward in hosting them again.
